Windsor Graduate Application Steps
Complete the initial online application:
- Review the detailed instructions for completing the initial online application (will open up in a new window) and return to this page
- Log in to the application website and create an account if you do not already have one.
- Note: Current and former UWindsor students must also create an account on the application website. Your UWin ID and password will not give you access to this site.
- Complete the application
- Pay the application fee
- Click the “Submit Application” bar
Activate UWin ID:
- Use the student number and personal access code provided in the email from Step 1 to activate your UWin account.
- You will receive an email with your activated UWin username and password.
Upload your documents to eGAS:
- Follow the directives in the verification email above to log into the University’s electronic graduate application system (eGAS) with your activated UWin username and password and upload your essential credentials (in PDF setup)
- An automatic email will be sent out to referees if required in the First Step.
- After uploading select “Submit Application”.
- If your documents are double-sided, be sure to scan and forward both sides of each paper.
Track your application on eGAS:
- To analyze your application status, kindly log into eGAS (as described in Step 3) with your UWin ID and password.
- The status of your application will automatically populate after verification
Please note that: graduate applicants cannot view their application status through the UWinsite “Applicant Homepage”, only through eGAS.

Windsor Application Deadlines
Application deadline dates are as follows:
- Fall (September) start of the program: Deadline – April 1st
- winter begins January starting of the program: Deadline – August 1st
- Summer begins May of the program: Deadline – December 1st.
Admission Requirements |University of Windsor Graduate Programs
All Applicants who have accomplished a degree at an accredited institution where the language of instruction is English (e.g., in a British, Canadian, American, or Australian Curriculum or an international diploma like the International Baccalaureate) and can demonstrate English aptitude. In some cases, an English proficiency test may still be necessary.
The minimum requirement for admission to the M.A.Sc. Or Ph.D. Program for TOEFL or IELTS is as follows:
- TOEFL (paper-based) – Minimum grade score of: 560
- TOEFL (electronic) – Minimum grade score of 2
- (internet-based) TOEFL – A Minimum grade score of 83
- IELTS – Minimum score of: 6.5
