About the Campuses

The University of Toronto has three campuses to include the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM), The University of Toronto’s St. George campus, and the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC).

Admission Requirement for Admission into Canadian High School

To gain admission into U of T, know that U of T make conditional offers of admission throughout the year on the basis of available Grade 11 and 12 (or equivalent) marks;

Also, the assessment is possible provided your record shows that you are enrolled in all required Grade 12 (or equivalent) courses.

If a Grade 12 mark in a prerequisite subject is not available, we will use the mark in the corresponding Grade 11 course. You must submit all required documents by the published document deadline for your program(s) of interest.

Ontario High School offers

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with six Grade 12 U/M subjects, including ENG4U or EAE4U
  • MCV4U is required for programs with the Calculus prerequisite
  • The co-op component of Grade 12 courses will not be used for admission purposes

Admission Requirement for Admission into Canadian University and College

  • Candidates must have a solid ‘B’ average in their university studies. Some programs require higher standing.
  • Candidates must submit a transcript showing your current year courses in progress, including your first semester results if possible – as well as any other documents required to complete your application – by the published document deadline for your program(s) of interest.
  • Candidates with a university degree, or with more than two years of university-level study at another university, may only apply for degree studies in a different field. That is, if you completed a degree in, or have majored in Economics, Management, Commerce, or Business, you cannot apply for a Commerce or Management degree. If you are admitted to a different program, you will be considered for a maximum of five transfer credits (one full year) from your previous studies.
  • Admission to a specific program is determined by the Faculty/Department once transfer credits have been assessed, and will depend on whether or not program prerequisites, grade requirements, and any other admission requirements have been met.
  • Note: some programs do not consider applications from students who have previously attended other post-secondary institutions. Be sure the program in which you are interested will consider your application.

Admission Requirement for Admission into Canadian College

Admission into Canadian College is based on the overall academic record and most recent annual average. Competitive students must have a high ‘B’ average in their college studies, provided they include sufficient academic content.

Candidates with Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology or Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, or an equivalent college outside Ontario with a strong academic record, may be eligible for a provisional offer of admission.

Candidates must submit a transcript showing your current year courses in progress, including your first semester/first term results if possible – as well as any other documents required to complete your application

Also, Program-area prerequisites must be met at the senior high school level. Two full college-level semesters of an academic subject may be considered to satisfy a prerequisite.
