University of Brunswick Application requirements, English Language requirements,Direct Entry requirements,Country specific requirements and applying as an international students.

This is for High school students applying to undergraduate programs at the University of New Brunswick, the following sets of admission requirements must meet in order to consider admission.

 

University of Brunswick ApplicationEnglish language proficiency requirements

Undergraduate candidates whose inborn language is not English require the following English language proficiency slightest scores for direct entry into most academic programs: 

  • TOEFL IBT with a minimum overall score of 85
  • IELTS or IELTS Display with a minimum overall score of 6.5
  • CAEL CE or CAEL Online with a least overall score of 60
  • Pearson Vue Test with a minimum score of 59
  • Cambridge English Assessment C1 advanced or C2 proficiency with a minimum score of 176 

Direct entrance to University of Brunswick Application

Undergraduate applicants whose inborn language is not English require the following English language proficiency minimum scores for direct entry into most academic programs: 

  • TOEFL IBT with a minimum overall score of 85
  • IELTS or IELTS Indicator with a minimum overall score of 6.5
  • CAEL CE or CAEL Online with a minimum overall score of 60
  • Pearson Vue Test with a minimum score of 59
  • Cambridge English estimation C1 progressive or C2 proficiency with a minimum score of 176 
  • Duo lingo with a minimum overall score of 115

The following undergraduate programs need a minimum IELTS score of 7.0 (or equivalent) for direct entrance 

  • Fredericton Campus: Nursing, Education, and Arts 
  • Saint John campus: Nursing, Health Sciences

Please contact the UNB International enrollment Centre to define if you meet the minimum necessities for programs demanding a higher proficiency score ([email protected]).

Country-specific requirements

Nigeria: West African Senior School Certification Examination (WASSCE) with grades of A and B/C4; further Math required for programs demanding pre-calculus.

International Students should note this:

We do not admit International pre-loaded MasterCard or Visas.  These may act as a debit card in your country, though they act as a credit card in a different place. 

If you do not have another means of paying, you can take your International pre-paid/pre-loaded MasterCard/Visa to a bank machine (ATM) and get a cash advance, to pay your fees in cash.

We do accept International pre-loaded MasterCard or Visas specially for the following:

Room payment
Application fee
Authorization fee

Create a UNB application account and complete an application

To avoid delays in the processing of your application, please verify the following:

  • The name on your application matches the name on your transcripts and the name that will appear on your passport
  • Provide your permanent home address in your home country

Pay the application fee

The international application fee is $125 CDN and is non-refundable.

Applicants can pay by:

  • Credit card (this option is not available in some countries)
  • Bank draft or certified cheque made payable to the University of New Brunswick
  • Money order through a Canadian banking institution

When paying by bank draft, licensed cheque or money arrange, be sure to exclude your name and your application number (16-digit alpha-numeric code) so that the payment may be credited to your account.
