Alberta/Northwest Territories/Nunavut
- English grade of 30 or ELA 30-1 plus four Grade 12 courses numbered 30 or 31
British Columbia/Yukon
- English grade of 12 in addition to three other academic Grade scores of 12 courses (courses with % grades do not letter grades). A regional exam is not essential.
Manitoba
- English grade of the 40S in addition to four other Grade scores of 12 courses at the 40 levels.
New Brunswick
- English grade of 121 or 122 in addition to four other academic Grade of 12 courses numbered 121 or 122 (courses numbered 120 could be considered).
Newfoundland
- The English grade of 3201 (2 credits) in addition to five two-credit academic courses at 3000 levels.
Nova Scotia
- English grade of 12 in addition to four extra academic or higher Grade of 12 courses
Ontario
- ENG4U in addition to the other five 4U and/or 4M courses
Prince Edward Island
- English 621 in addition to the other four Grade 12 courses numbered 611 or 621
Quebec
- One year of CEGEP accomplished with a bare minimum of 12 academic subjects as well as English
Note Applicants from Quebec who have accomplished more than one year of CEGEP (more than 12 academic courses) will be measured for admittance with higher standing. Applicants who have completed the DEC program with a collective average of ‘B’ or better will be measured for admittance with superior standing to an utmost score of 30 credits. Prerequisite subjects can still apply for Nipissing University admission necessities.
