The General Admission Requirements for Ontario students
Firstly to be considered for admittance as an Ontario High School student, you must be presently attending a high school in Ontario on a full-time basis or have freshly graduated, and have not finished any post-secondary studies at another institute.
To meet the General Admission Requirements to Lakehead, you will need the following:
- achievement of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD);
- have at least a minimum average of 6 Grade 12U or M courses, or related, including program-specific requirement courses;
- The least amount of 70%* in general last average
Upper averages may be essential for admittance into programs in which the demand for places by skilled applicants exceeds the supply of obtainable spaces.
Admission averages are calculated using the top 6 Grade 12 U or M courses.

Note that: Lakehead University will consider applicants for provisional admission upon successful completion of the General Admission Requirements. Applicants are expected to apply when the admission application is open.

You are to submit the following required documents as part of the application process:

In most cases, your grades will be forwarded to Lakehead from your high school through OUAC. If you are taking courses during summer school, you will be arranging for the last official grades to be sent to Enrolment Services.
